I am a versatile flutist available for any type of event in the Bay Area. I have been previously hired to play at holiday parties, pit orchestras for community theater productions, and church services. I play in many community groups both large and small and sub regularly for the Oakland Civic Orchestra.

About
Sadie Hewitt (she/her) is a flutist and elementary school educator in Oakland, California. Sadie has played the flute since she was 12 and is continuing her studies in Flute Performance at Chabot College with Katrina Walter. Sadie plays with the San Francisco Pride Band, the Chabot Wind Symphony, her flute ensemble Bay Area Whirlwinds, and is a regular sub with the Oakland Civic Orchestra. Sadie is also a prizewinner for the 2024 National Flute Association Adult Amateur Competition in the Novice category. Her favorite thing about playing music is creating something “living” with other people. When she's not playing the flute, Sadie likes to roller skate, learn languages, and go on adventures with her wife and their 18 month old son.

Sadie ha tocado la flauta desde que tenía 12 años y continúa sus estudios en Chabot College con Katrina Walter. I bring my own music stand and sheet music. If a microphone and amp are needed, those will need to be provided for me.
