October 27, 2026Our guests loved Rudy's Bluegrass Revue. They were on time, fun to work with throughout the whole process and play at a very high level. We were very happy with every aspect and would love to have them back next year. Great musicians.

October 1, 2026Rudy's Bluegrass Revue played our corporate event through cocktails and dinner and brought just the right mix of energy. During cocktails, they got people smiling and tapping their feet. Once dinner started, they eased back so guests could talk comfortably without competing with the music. The musicianship was excellent, and the band read the room well as the evening moved along. They were professional, on time, and easy to coordinate with ahead of the event. If you're looking for live music that adds real personality without taking over, we'd recommend them, and our guests enjoyed them as much as we did.

November 12, 2025We had Rudy’s Bluegrass Trio play at our private celebration, and they were phenomenal! Easily the best live music I’ve ever heard!
Communication beforehand was easy and professional. They showed up an hour early to set up and came with a great variety of instruments.
Their performance was amazing, featuring both classic bluegrass favorites and incredible original songs by Rudy (they are seriously talented!). They even took requests on the spot and were super friendly and engaging.
Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how great their performance was! They truly made our event special.
I can’t recommend Rudy’s Bluegrass Revue highly enough!

November 5, 2024I recently hired Rudy's Bluegrass Revue for my 40th birthday celebration, and they were phenomenal! From the moment they started playing, the atmosphere was filled with energy and joy. Thoroughly enjoyed the blend of traditional bluegrass and lively tunes - everyone was dancing.
The band was incredibly professional and friendly. They engaged with the audience and made sure everyone was having a great time. The setlist was well-curated, and they took a few crowd requests.
Everyone enjoyed the music, and I could not have been happier with the experience. I'm already looking forward to booking them again for future occasions.
If you're looking for a solid bluegrass band and a fun evening, look no further than Rudy's Bluegrass Revue. Highly recommended!

Attending a Rudy's Rhythm & Revue show is an event that must be experienced in person. The energy is high, the songs are interesting and the repertoire is vast. From Bach and Beethoven on the banjo to bluegrass, blues and inspiring lyrics in original compositions, Rudy will lift your spirits and and keep your toes tapping. A multi-instrumentalist, Rudy switches from Banjo to guitar to mandolin to fiddle and keeps a variety of sounds flowing.
Rudy Cortese is a five-time winner of the Four Corner States Banjo Championships and a winner of AZ State banjo, mandolin, vocal and band competitions. A multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and performer with drive and urgency that will peak your curiosity in anticipation to see what will happen next.
When Rudy won first place three months after beginning to play the banjo at the age of twelve, he knew music was his soul companion. Playing bluegrass in Arizona was a difficult endeavor to persevere but dedication, commitment, and love for the craft, kept spirits high and opportunities open. Flint Hill band, lead by Glenn Wilburn, was a big influence leading to the Crucial County bluegrass band. Where fiddle player Jesse Stockman was recruited by Doyle Lawsen, and soon after that his guitar player (Jess Barry) also joined Doyle's band to play twin fiddles with Jesse. When the Crucial County band dissolved he got married and raised a son in Tucson, AZ. Playing with James Reams and the Barnstormers, the Haymarket Squares out of Phoenix and Cadillac Mountain out of Tucson, he stuck around that area until his son was 18 then moved to North Carolina.
Currently active in the bluegrass community in WNC playing some with the Sons Of Ralph and other groups, Rudy is pursuing his life long dream of performing bluegrass music.
