I'm a UK-raised singer-songwriter with over ten years experience playing clubs, theaters, bars, restaurants, weddings, private events, touring, and busking. Most of my career so far has been in NYC and Europe; I recently moved to Seattle and I'm looking forward to connecting with a new audience out here. My style is 60s-influenced, "psychedelic" folk a la Nick Drake, Donovan, Bob Dylan, John Fahey. I'd be best suited for events that are open to original music and more unusual, esoteric cover songs. For examples of my original work, you can look me up on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.

Price Range: $300-2000
Gig Length: 20 - 180 minutes
Languages: English, French, Dutch
I try to create a vibe when I'm playing. Sorta modern minstrel. I dress in a somewhat oldtimey way and I like to set an ambience with fairy lights and patterned cloths and things. Depending on what the gig requires, I can play unamplified or using a portable amplifier (which can also run on batteries for outdoor performances).
Robert Leslie is an indie-folk artist known for performing on streets across Europe, North Africa, and New York City. His alluring voice, soaring melodies, dense poetic imagery, and freewheeling approach to life have garnered him a large and loyal following.
Born in NYC, raised in London and Amsterdam, Robert left home at a young age and spent two years supporting himself as a traveling street performer, ping-ponging with the seasons between northern Europe and Morocco, finally winding up in Brooklyn. Since arriving stateside he’s made himself a well-known figure in both the venues and the streets of NYC, and has been featured in the New York Daily News, Timeout! Magazine, Deli Mag (voted upcoming artist of the month), and various other blogs and publications. He’s toured across three continents and yodeled his heart out to crowds large & small. As of fall 2023 he is based in Seattle, WA.
Robert's fourth LP, "Halfway Home", released Aug 5th 2022, is his first collaboration with industry heavyweights, with production by Perry Margouleff (Maroon 5, Paul Rodgers) and session performances by Tony Garnier (Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Paul Simon), Scarlet Rivera (Bob Dylan), and Jake Sinclair (Weezer, Panic! at the Disco).
I'm pretty self-contained, tech-wise. If you have a PA for your event, I'll be able to work with the sound person to make sure everything goes smoothly. If not, I can bring sufficient equipment to amplify a small indoor or outdoor concert for up to 200 people.
Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Nick Drake, Donovan, The Tallest Man on Earth, Sufjan Stevens, Elliot Smith, Leonard Cohen, Radiohead, John Fahey, traditional folk, Bon Iver, etc
Can bring my own equipment for concerts up to 200 people
