Rodney Cole Mendez is a Canadian pianist, composer, and bandleader with over fifteen years of live performance experience. Based in Muskoka, he began playing professionally in his teens, leading the Cole Mendez Trio through the region’s jazz circuit before studying jazz piano performance at the University of Toronto. His work has since carried him across North America, Europe, and Australia, from intimate lounges to festival main stages and luxury destinations.

Over the past decade, Cole has performed thousands of shows with the internationally touring disco-soul band The Free Label, while collaborating with a diverse range of artists and refining a personal sound that bridges tradition and modernity. His music combines the harmonic depth of jazz with the emotional immediacy of cinematic and ambient sound, resulting in performances that feel both timeless and contemporary.

• Protection: For outdoor events, full overhead cover is required to protect instruments and electrical equipment from sun, wind, or moisture.
