An energetic and entertaining classic country performance with strong original music and solid cover songs.
No longer having a place to live in California in the fall of 2020 Richard Banker set out for Texas with $300, a cheap guitar and his songs. He landed on a lifelong friend’s couch/floor in Weatherford, Texas. Richard started playing shows in town and then moved on to Granbury, Stephenville, Hico, and Ft. Worth. He finally made it down Austin and went straight for the Broken Spoke. He was invited back to sing a few nights later and never left. He continues to play Austin staples the Broken Spoke and Poodie’s as well as sitting in with Austin’s Iron Man Chris Gage at Donn’s Depot. With new Texas inspired songs to go along with his repertoire he continues to expand throughout Texas and beyond….
I have a Roland "street cube" for intimate settings as well as a PA for larger settings. Rates for bringing my own gear are negotiable.
