Growing up in Charleston, WV, Lloyd Miller discovered his natural musical talent early on. By his teenage years, his rapid progress on the guitar outpaced his peers, and his passion for music was ignited at the age of 15 when he first heard Stevie Ray Vaughan. From that moment, Lloyd knew that music would be his lifelong pursuit.

After high school, Lloyd briefly studied classical guitar performance at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. However, his heart was always drawn to the blues, so he left college to focus on writing and recording his own music. His self-produced blues album earned him a spot at the prestigious Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, where he attended from (phone number hidden)3. During his time there, Lloyd honed his guitar technique, songwriting skills, and live performance abilities, sharing the stage with fellow students, including Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno.

Following his graduation from GIT, Lloyd dove into the Southern California music scene, forming a power trio and performing at legendary venues like the Whisky A Go Go, BB King Blues Club, and The Joint. His accolades include winning a Los Angeles Music Award for Best Guitar Performance in 2008.

In 2010, Lloyd relocated to Austin, TX, where he formed The Lloyd Miller Band, becoming a regular in the vibrant Central Texas music scene. The band recorded a self-titled EP in 2014 with renowned producer CJ Eiriksson (credits include U2, Incubus, and Matchbox 20). Lloyd also joined Safety Patrol, an '80s party band led by Sam McCandless of the rock band Cold. With Safety Patrol, Lloyd performed as lead singer and guitarist to sold-out crowds across Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, further developing his stage presence and vocal abilities.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, Lloyd pivoted, setting up a home recording studio to focus on songwriting and production. During this time, he also began performing solo acoustic gigs in the Austin area, building a reputation as a versatile and engaging performer. By 2021, Lloyd expanded into music production, completing over 500 projects for artists worldwide. His production work has been lauded for exceeding client expectations, and his studio, Spirit Song Studios, has become a hub for creativity and collaboration.

In addition to his production work, Lloyd joined the worship team at Crosslife Church in Pflugerville, TX, as a lead singer and guitarist in 2021. His contributions include writing and producing original songs for the church, where he remains an active member. Lloyd’s international career also grew significantly when he established long-term production collaborations with artists in Switzerland. These relationships led to sold-out performances in Switzerland in 2024 and 2026, showcasing his talent to audiences abroad.

Today, Lloyd continues to perform solo acoustic gigs across the Austin area, captivating audiences with his soulful voice, masterful guitar playing, and ability to connect with listeners. Whether performing heartfelt originals, blues classics, or acoustic renditions of popular songs, Lloyd ensures every performance is memorable and tailored to the audience.
