Bill is truly a renaissance man whose broad range of knowledge, experience and insight makes him uniquely qualified to speak in a wide variety of venues. His conversational style combines wisdom, humor and the ability to synthase complex issues into understandable concepts. Bill is equally comfortable dialoguing with academics and speaking to urban youth. Over the last few months he has lectured seminarians on Spirituality and Grief, led a discussion group on “Comedians and Religion,” taught and preached on the Sabbath principle, and gave a presentation to rabbi’s and Jewish leaders on Christian approaches to the Land of Israel. Bill is a frequent leader of retreats and a spiritual mentor.

October 25, 2016There aren't enough good things to say about Bill Borror... a perfect stranger we found on the internet with such strong spiritual relativity, we knew he'd fit the Bill as our wedding officiant (all puns intended) as he was everything we hoped for and more. He is a well spoken professor of theology and a professional in every sense of the word without being stuffy or stiff. Bill met with us several times via skype because of the long distance, to get to know us and provide us with spritual guidance in preparation of our next chapter! He gave us laughs and a lot to think about, broke down concepts and his own intuitive perspective in a careful way that was comprehensive and validating. He is as sharp witted as he is sensitive and thoughtful, and gave 100% of himself at our ceremony, to which we are eternally grateful. Thank you for coming all the way from Pennsylvania to be with us on Long Island! Thank you for being on time and putting us at ease minutes before Showtime. And thank you for a memorable ceremony that days later, guests are still complimenting us on. Brendan says he may just photoshop a sword into your hand. :-) Many blessings to you always, V & B

February 26, 2015Reverend Borror performed my husband and I's wedding ceremony with the beauty and grace you would hope for from any wedding officiant. The combination of gravitas, warmth and caring made our wedding ceremony even more beautiful than I had hoped.

February 6, 2015Bill has an amazing gift in bringing together relevant 21st century experiences and the mysteries of God into a real and comprehensive way. His years of experience in all areas of ministry--children, youth, young and senior adults--make him one of the most dynamic speakers of our time. You will be rewarded with spiritual renewal and come away with a deeper understanding of your faith.

December 5, 2014If he didn't tell you, you might never know that Bill is a Reverend. Such is the way he is able to connect and relate to the "everyday" person. But once you hear him speak, his 25+ yr experience as a biblical scholar and pastor is unmistakeable. Bill has a brilliant way of relating biblical history to current times, and of awakening scripture to live in the present. Bill's depth and diversity of his own life experiences, and his comfort to poke fun at himself, engages the audience tremendously. I would highly recommend Bill as a speaker, and can assure your audience will feel spiritually enlivened and have smiles on their faces.

November 25, 2014Bill was my pastor for 18 years and is my friend. Bill's boys and my children were in the same age range. I have seen Bill preach, comfort grieving parents, connect with children and teenagers, negotiate with politicians, coach soccer, teach scholarly topics, and play a mean guitar. He has the gift of being able to put people at ease and lead them to discover their better angels. He has a sense of humor that disarms and a gentleness that comforts. I recommend Bill as a counselor, group leader and pastor.

I was born in West Virginia and raised in South Central Pa. Starting in college, I worked with youth first in a church and then for five years with Young Life. After graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary, I spent 25 years as Presbyterian Minister, serving churches in Texas, New Jersey and suburban Philadelphia. I am a doctoral candidate at Drew University and have taught seminary classes in Church History, Biblical Studies, and Practical Theology. I have spent the last ten years involved in interfaith work, initially as a member of the national Jewish-Presbyterian dialogue team and most recently as a fellow with the Christian Leadership Initiative of AJC & Shalom Hartman Institute. I am currently the pastor of the First Congregational Church, Manchester VT.
