What to expect
If you see us live, you will see an energetic hard rock performance with thunderous drums and bass, solid, bruising guitar work and searing old school style leads, and soaring vocals. None of our songs necessarily sound the same, but we definitely have a cohesive and unique sound due to our shared influences!
Whether playing for 100 people or 100,000, we always give it 100% onstage and do our best to provide a concert experience that you will not forget.
We are looking for shows where we are either opening up for a more established band or co-headling bars/clubs/festivals, playing our own hard-rocking original music.
We can provide as little as 30 minutes of original music as a support act, or dip deep into our catalog of our own music and play a few covers in order to play as long as two hours as a headliner or co-headliner!
About
BRIEF BIO: Renegade Train is a hard rock band based out of the south central Michigan area which performs its own eclectic original rock music. They are influenced by nearly every genre of music, but especially hard rock, heavy metal, grunge, and alternative. Renegade Train is comprised of: Keagan Redman (vocals), Todd Redman (bass & backing vocals), George Leslie (drums and gang vocals), and Daniel Corralez (guitar and gang vocals).
RT in its current incarnation has competed at Grewal Hall in Lansing, and has played venues such as The Rex Theatre, Vexed Venue, The Music Factory, Mac’s Bar, The Music Box, and The Token Lounge.
LONGER BIO: Renegade Train was born from the ashes of another project, Kicking Joe, a cover band which splintered during the COVID pandemic. Todd, the bassist, is the only holdover from that project. After spending a few years as a cover band dabbling in original music, producing & releasing its own music, the departure of one of its guitarists at the end of 2023 prompted the remaining members of RT to make the decision to retool and focus on writing original material. After taking 2024 off from live performance to write music, RT has returned to the stage, and is also recording on a regular basis.
In its previous incarnation, RT played, inter Alia, Mac’s Bar in Lansing, The Music Box & The Brass Rail in Jackson, and The Mulliken Roadhouse to name just a few mid- Michigan venues.
Additional booking notes
We prefer to play gigs that provide their own PA system and speakers. However, we do have the capability to bring our own for an additional fee.
We are a four piece band as currently constructed, so our stage setup is small/manageable,does not require an enormous space, and does not require a lot of power by rock standards.
We typically bring the following gear:
(1) Drum set; (2) Guitar half-stack (as a monitor); (3) Line 6 Helix Stadium XL Guitar Processor; (4) 2-3 electric guitars; (5) DI box for bass; (6) Bass Processor; (7) 2 electric basses; (8) 3 vocal microphones (1 wireless) and stands; and (9) Wireless Transmitter and four (4) receivers.
If we have to bring our own PA, we have two subs with stands, two subs with stands, two mains, a small rack, a 24-channel snake, drum microphones, and a mixing board.
We just need sufficient outlets for our gear and a space to perform.
