Raul Gabriel Music

I offer a full p.a. setup(sound board/speaker/mics) for an acoustic performance as well as background music during breaks. I can also Play background music while Im not performing.

A San Antonio Native, Raul Gabriel started playing guitar at the age of fifteen. Growing up during a time when cds and tapes were still relevant he listened to everything from 80's and 90's pop to hip hop and rock later on. various branches of music would stick out his early playing with bands such as Tool and the Def tones being crossed with Gitano stylings of the Gypsy Kings and the progressive jazz of Al Di Meola. This eclectic style proved interesting as musical taste would change over time. Bands such Opeth and Amon Amarth and Meshuggah were common fare as a high school student.

As time went on the interest of joining a band peaked and by 2008 new styles of music were introduced. Raul found himself fronting a Death metal band Amidst the Frost and began Playing guitar for a Jazz funk Quintet known as
Chocolate city and the vanilla suburbs. These two styles seemed to fit with the young artist who would begin writing music that would compliment both the aggressive nature of Heavy Metal and the smooth subtleties of jazz.

By late 2008 members of Amidst the Frost later regrouped to begin a project called Pedagogic. it featured members of Chocolate city and brought a new twist to Raul's sound.

In 2010 Raul Gabriel began working with Danny Patino of Symmetric Sound Productions. The Two have known each other since 2005 and still work together to this day. Working with artists in the studio gave new life to someone already inspired by the music creating process. During this time Raul worked with acts such as Marcus Carruthers and the Freedom soul, Sweet Evolution, and Patsy Torres.

By 2013, Raul was back in school while working in the studio with Pedagogic and playing with Jazz Funk group The Black Ties. Songs began to come out that would eventually be tracked at symmetric sounds productions. These pieces began to combine all of the elements that had been fused over the years and today, can now be heard as performed by Raul Gabriel live.
In 2017, Raul graduated the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Psychology and Audio Technology.
In 2021, Raul graduated from UTSA with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.

A Unique array of acoustic, rock, Lo-Fi hip hop, flamenco, R&B, jazz, progressive death metal, Djent, as well as new renditions of pop tunes that eloquently
define the sound that is Raul Gabriel.

I need access to power, i.e. electrical outlet and a place to set up my work space. ill also require a space that the sound can be heard by my audience at the time.
