When you invite me to speak, you can expect a message that is rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ, and tailored to your audience. I take seriously the responsibility of opening God’s Word, and I work to ensure each message is both faithful to the text and engaging to those listening.

For student events, I aim to meet them where they are—without watering down the truth—helping them see how the Gospel speaks directly into their lives. For churches and conferences, I bring a steady, expositional approach that builds trust and encourages spiritual growth.

I’m easy to work with, flexible in format, and committed to serving your event—not just filling a slot.

Randy Ramsey is the senior pastor at First Baptist Church Saluda teacher, where he lives and serves among local church communities. With a deep commitment to the authority of Scripture and the beauty of the gospel, Randy’s ministry is marked by a desire to see ordinary people shaped into faithful, joyful followers of Christ.

He has devoted much of his life to preaching and teaching the Bible in a way that is both accessible and richly theological, drawing from the historic Reformed tradition while speaking directly to the challenges of modern life. Whether in the pulpit, leading small groups, or developing resources for the local church, his aim is to help others see Christ more clearly and love Him more deeply.

Beyond the church, Randy is the cohost of the “out of the church attic podcast” a project that explores the Christian faith and practice in the heart of Appalachia.
He brings a thoughtful and creative spirit to his work; whether crafting meaningful conversations through podcasting, building community-centered initiatives, or exploring the art and culture of coffee as a way to gather people together. He believes that truth, beauty, and fellowship are not separate pursuits, but threads woven together in a life lived before God.

Randy and his wife Lizet in Western North Carolina with their two children and they share a deep love for the local church and a vision to see communities strengthened through faithful teaching, authentic relationships, and lives marked by service.

I require very little to serve your event well—just a Bible, a place to stand, and a group of people ready to hear God’s Word. I’m comfortable in both simple and fully equipped environments and can adapt easily to your setup.
