A few years later, another storm cloud appeared on the horizon of Rachelle's life—a tumour in her right temporal lobe. Most people would have succumbed to despair, but not Rachelle. She faced this new challenge with the same indomitable spirit that had carried her through the trials of MS. She chose to confront adversity head-on, armed with humor and the profound belief that every obstacle in life is part of a greater divine design.

Rachelle's unwavering faith is not just a shield against despair; it's a beacon of inspiration for all who have the privilege of knowing her. Her journey is a testament to the incredible power of the human spirit when fueled by faith and an unyielding determination to thrive in the face of adversity.

But Rachelle's story is not just one of personal triumph. It is also a story of enduring love and family. For 28 years, she has been happily married to her husband and best friend, John. Their love has weathered the storms of life, providing Rachelle with an anchor of strength and support.

Their love story is enriched by the presence of two remarkable children. Khristien, at 26, is an incredible singer and musician, a testament to the creativity and talent that runs through their family's veins. Gerrit, at 23, is a shining example of brilliance and resilience. He is high-functioning autistic, but his wit and humour are like lightning, brightening every room he enters.

In 2018, Rachelle faced yet another battle, this time with uterine cancer. Instead of succumbing to fear, she saw this as an opportunity to infuse her life with even more passion, purpose, and direction. Rachelle emerged from this ordeal not as a victim but as a warrior, armed with a renewed sense of purpose.

In 2019, she took a bold step and founded Sisters Ignited Media and Publishing Inc., a publishing company dedicated to helping others share their stories of inspiration and life journeys. Rachelle's mission is clear: to empower individuals to find their purpose and use their voices to inspire others.
