My job is to serve you. You are busy and I respect your time, my goal is to always meet and exceed your expectations. I respect the effort and expertise that it takes to organize an event so I’m committed to listening carefully to understand your needs and doing everything I can to help make your event a success.

I deliver a variety of talks and workshops that center around power and leadership as well domestic violence awareness and preparedness. Here is a brief summary of my most popular talks:

EMPOWER > OVERPOWER: this talk is crafted with positional leaders in mind and draws on more than 200 1-on-1 interviews and a decade of studying power in leadership to deliver a dramatic, inspiring, practical challenge around the mindset, model, and mission of empowering leadership. It's adjoining workshops help leaders develop intentional interaction with their teams, increase retention, grow their people, and promote a healthy happy workplace.

POWER GIVER: This inspiring talk meets people exactly where they are and takes them on a journey to discover their own power and how to put it to work. It’s a clarion call to every person regardless of position to reclaim their sense of agency, rediscover their sense of significance, and realign their sense of purpose. When teammates are inspired to take the initiative in these areas, organizations will find that morale increases, teammates engage more with the organization and customer service improves.

POWER MULTIPLIED: This is a motivating, inspiring talk that encourages young adults to find their power and lead by example. In a fun, challenging way, the audience explores what it means to "be the CEO of you" by taking hold of your past, present, and future all the while building your values in such a way that you can give power to those around you.

More than a decade ago I began a career of walking with people through the best and worst times of their lives as a Lead Pastor. Early on I recieved a call from a woman in crisis. When I arrived I found her covered in bruises trying to understand why her husband of 20 years would hurt her.

That experience set me on a journey to undertand power and how it’s used and misused. I became a domestic violence interventionist and educator conducting more than 200 1-on-1 interviews with violent offenders and facilitating hundreds of hours of educational and support groups with survivors.

The lessons I learned about power and leadership served me well when I moved into the finance industry managing a sales and operations team with direct responsibility for nearly a hundred million dollars in assets.

I continue to live out the principles of what I call being a power giver every day as a corporate manager and as a DV interventionist and educator. I have a passion to inspire leaders and teams to invigorate every normal day with extraordinary power giving.

My wife, Kristen, and I have been married for 10 years and we have two beautiful children. Kristen is a health and wellbeing coach, speaker and writer and she is a brilliant advocate for personal empowerment. We live in Florence, AL. It's a beautiful small town in the northeast corner of Alabama nestled along the banks of the Tennessee River. It's a great place to spend a long weekend-or a lifetime.
