The perfect addition to weddings

Overview

I am a female bagpiper of 25 years experience, who would be honoured to perform traditional Scottish tunes at your wedding, birthday, anniversary, celebration of life or any other event you feel needs a little Scottish flare. I am willing to travel within the GTA and cottage country of Ontario. I will work with you to customize a performance that suits your needs. As well, if you are interested, my son is a skilled snare drummer and is willing to join in and fill out the musical sound for only $50 more. Most clients prefer that option as it adds that "little bit extra" to the experience.

What to expect

You can expect us to be prepared and punctual.
You can expect us to look good and sound good.
You can expect us to be friendly, personable and patient.
You can expect a phone call with us, where we will help you plan how music will fit into your event.
You can expect us to personalize the performance as much as possible.
You can expect us to provide you with a quality performance while still remaining COVID-19 safe.

We provide this service because we love sharing our music and we love helping people make their event just a little bit more unique.

About

With over twenty years experience on the bagpipes, Tammy is a competent piper, ready to play solo for any occasion. Most people love the pipes for walking down the aisle on their wedding day or as a final farewell to a loved one, but Tammy has also played for anniversaries, birthdays and had the opportunity to play (with the band) for Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie when they visited Penetanguishene, Ontario and for Queen Elizabeth at the Braemar Highland Games in Scotland (August, 2018).

Tammy's 23 year old son, Adam, is always a welcomed addition to any event. He has been playing the drums since he was 5 years old and has played snare with a pipe band since 2015. Both Tammy and Adam had the opportunity to travel with a band to the Netherlands in 2017 and to represent Canada at their liberation ceremonies at the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. Together, the pair create a fuller sound for your event.

Want to give the gift of a bagpiper performance but don't have an appropriate venue? We can produce a personalized virtual performance video for you and your loved ones, then you can take the video to grandma in the hospital or send it to your dad in Scotland - a different type of personalized gift!

Additional booking notes

Because the bagpipes are a wind instrument, one must be aware of certain things.

If the weather is below zero degrees Celsius, the pipes will begin to freeze up after a few tunes. Depending on the outdoor temperature, Tammy may suggest a virtual performance option to ensure a quality sound.

We are always open to a conversation about how your event can run, but we will always make your COVID and health safety and our safety the first priority.
