I am a pianist and singer, and I can provide my own keyboard, mic, amp, stands, as well as a silent portable generator so I can set up anywhere. My extensive classical training in music theory means I can learn songs very quickly just by listening—feel free to request any songs, and I will learn them. I’ve done everything from Star Wars and Legend of Zelda theme songs to classical piano pieces to acoustic versions of modern/contemporary and pop songs. I enjoy performing at breweries & wineries, cocktail hours, farmers markets, and other special events and venues as well. I can also sing in Korean. You can hire me to both sing & play piano, or just play piano, or just sing!

December 17, 2022Alice was absolutely wonderful. She played at our wedding and she accommodated all of our song requests, was extremely professional, and made our day extra special. Alice was quick to respond, gave great suggestions for song choices and really went above and beyond to accommodate our venue’s requirements. Not only was she a very talented Pianist but also a very talented singer. I could not have been more happy with our decision to have Alice perform at our wedding. I would recommend her 100 times over.

November 29, 2022I’ve seen Alice perform over a number of years after hearing about her through a close friend. She’s very gifted and talented and I hired her to play some select piano renditions for my wedding ceremony. She let us pick and was able to play them beautifully for our wedding. She offered selections on songs that are normally played as I had no idea but we were able to pick our own songs and were very happy about that.
I also asked her to play for our cocktail hour before we arrived at the reception and prior to the DJ showing up. Everyone has told us that she was very good and we were extremely happy to have her.

November 5, 2022Alice is phenomenal. She was so friendly and responsive while I was looking for a piano player for my event. She very quickly set up all of her equipment (she even brought her own power source in case there wasn't a nearby outlet). She has the most beautiful voice, but is also wonderful at playing and singing at a volume that she was both easy to hear and enjoy, while also not being so loud that guests couldn't talk and socialize nearby.
Definitely book Alice, she's worth every penny of her (very reasonable) price!!

I can play just the piano, or I can do both piano & singing. I cover a wide range of songs from all decades, back to the 17th century! ;) I seamlessly transition from one song to the next, so there are no awkward silences or pauses.
If you would like to request a specific (contemporary) song to be played, I just need a day to learn it. If it's a complex classical piece, I may need up to several weeks to learn it if I haven't already learned it in the past. You can find my usual repertoire in the “Set List” tab a couple lines above this paragraph, but this is not an exhaustive/complete list! I am likely familiar with songs you may want to hear that I don't already have listed. I have 3+ hours of continuous repertoire that I can provide; I can go 2 hours without a break, with a 5 minute break every hour thereafter. I can also sing in Korean. I can be background music or I can be a featured performer—I’m comfortable with both!
I have my own keyboard and keyboard stand, microphone and mic stand, an amplifier, all required cables, and a silent portable generator that can power me for up to 6 hours. I can arrive early to your event; I will need at least 20 minutes to unload and set up.
I started taking classical piano and music theory lessons from the age of 5, all the way through my collegiate studies. Nowadays I perform at weddings, wineries, festivals, and other special events throughout the DC/MD/VA region. I first started performing as my church’s pianist at the age of 12 and soon started playing piano at weddings (ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions). I have also performed at NBA games, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the National Christmas Tree Lighting, and Congressional dinners. I regularly perform at more intimate events such as corporate events and dinner parties as well.
My repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Billie Eilish, from Debussy to Dua Lipa. I can easily and quickly learn music and can sight read with great proficiency. I can be hired as a singer, a pianist, or both! I can also sing in Korean.
I provide my own equipment at no extra cost! I have my own portable (and silent!) generator, so I can set up anywhere and don't have to be restricted to an outlet. If you prefer that I play a piano that is already on-site, please confirm that it has been tuned recently. I do not provide any lighting. My sound is amplified through a Roland KC-150.
