A Powerful Voice of Truth and Purpose

We were honored to welcome Peter Demos as our commencement speaker in our high school graduation ceremony for Middle Tennessee Home Educators Association. His words left a lasting mark on every graduate, parent, and guest in attendance. HIs message was a genuine call to live courageously in a culture that rewards compromise.

Peter connected quickly with our audience, weaving personal experiences, biblical examples, and hard-earned wisdom into a message that felt tailor-made for this next generation of leaders.

One of the many powerful truths Peter shared was:
“No matter what the world says about success or failure, your identity as children of God does not change."
It reminded our students that in a world of shifting values and competing voices, they are called to anchor their lives to an unshakeable God who has created each of them for such a time as this. This message echoed the values of our homeschool families, many of whom have sacrificed time, energy, and comfort in pursuit of a Christ-centered education for their children.

We are grateful for Peter's presence and his heartfelt message to our graduates. His words were both inspiring and equipping. He reminded us all, that now more than ever, the world needs leaders who are grounded, fearless, and faithful.

Highly recommended for any group seeking a speaker who brings biblical truth and Spirit-led conviction to the stage.

What to expect

Peter has been a guest speaker at many events, including but not limited to business groups, churches, men's conferences, and more. Peter is a resident expert in the following topics: Faith, Business, and Personal Growth.

Peter's messages are often motivational in nature, but can also serve as a call to action for those who need additional encouragement. He inspires others through his transparency and humor about himself and his journey, in business and in his walk with Christ.

Peter can connect with groups of thousands of people to small intimate groups in a close setting. Peter can deliver his message and choose to either leave afterward or remain to address any questions at the end of his presentation, with the preference being as to what your event needs. The question and answer portion is where Peter really shines, as he is conversational in nature and the direct honest approach he takes seems to resonate with attendees.

About

Peter Demos entered the family restaurant business at age 12 when he started working as a dishwasher in his dad’s Western Sizzlin’ restaurant. From there, his experience in the food industry and serving others gradually grew under the tutelage of his father, who imparted to Peter many aspects of what it takes to run a successful business.

After graduating from high school, Peter earned a B.S. in Sociology from Middle Tennessee State University before studying law at the University of Missouri. He went on to earn his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, during which he discovered that he could better fulfill his passion for helping people in the food industry.

In 1999, Peter returned to his parents’ family restaurant, Demos’ Restaurant. His experience as a restauranteur grew, and he was given the position of chairman on the Board of Directors for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and president of the Tennessee Hospitality Association. Currently, he is the president and CEO of Demos’ Brands and Demos Family Kitchen.

Peter is a highly sought-after leadership source expert and speaker on business, leadership and faith. He has authored two books: his compelling debut book detailing his journey from fear-filled to fearless, “Afraid to Trust”, and “On the Duty of Christian Civil Disobedience”, where you will be invited to think critically about your decisions to act or remain silent in the face of unjust policies. He has been featured in numerous mainstream media and faith-based publications including “Fox and Friends”, "The Washington Examiner," "Townhall," "The American Spectator", “BeliefNet” and "The Christian Post." In addition, Peter has served as an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University where he taught a class on leadership and management.

Today, Peter and his wife Kristin work closely together in both business and ministry. They are now teaching their two children to also serve God with their lives.

Peter has been awarded by the DNJ as a Top 20 Business Leader Under 40, and by the Nashville Business Journal as Top 40 Under 40. He has numerous leadership accolades, including the Leadership Rutherford Pinnacle Award (2010), Restaurateur of the Year Award (2014), Christian Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Award (2015), C12 Business Award (2015, 2018), the Living Sent Ministries Kingdom Award (2016), and many more. Every year since 2019, Demos Brands has been named as a Top Work Place.

Peter Demos is the author of "On the Duty of Christian Civil Disobedience" and "Afraid to Trust", and the host of "Uncommon Sense in Current Times." A Christian business leader from Tennessee, Demos uses his biblical perspective and insight gained from his own struggles to lead others to truth and authenticity in a broken world.

Additional booking notes

Nothing technical is required. Peter will likely have an outline of what he intends to say, and if it requires any visual cues for slides or anything of that nature, we will be sure to communicate that with plenty of time before the event.
