Pawn Shop Soul reclaims hawked sixties and seventies soul and funk tunes - some that cashed in and some forgotten grooves - blows out the dust and raises the roof. Tight and punchy, the Pawn Shop Horns front the band. Four horns up front and funked up with bari sax scoops, organ steps out of the groove to testify in that unmistakable voice of the times. The guitar, bass, drums, and congas are the shopkeepers, keeping the power on, taking care business, ready to blaze when the spotlight falls on them.
