WOW! Written words won’t express how THRILLED we were with Vybe!! EVERYTHING about hiring them went way beyond expectations, from dealing with Catherine on contract and details, to the band’s incredible music, talent, professionalism and ability to work the crowd. We have heard unsolicited enthusiastic reviews from many of our guests. We had a trio for the cocktail hour and eight-piece for the reception—loved the horns!! These talented artists learned several songs just for us. We even hired our ceremony violinist through Catherine, and this soloist learned custom pieces for the bride too. Special thanks go to Vybe lead vocalist, Kimiko, but not just for her unmatched vocals and being our smooth but never intrusive emcee. Kimiko stepped in as “event coordinator” and improvised AND executed a timeline change on the fly to save a near disaster caused by our planner. I WISH I had another chance to work with them—they are best!

Let me start by saying that I am probably one of the pickiest people alive when it comes to singing and live performances, I am extremely critical. When our original band canceled only a few months before our wedding I panicked because having an amazing band was one of our top priorities for our wedding day. But Vybe Society saved the day! Not only were they miraculously available, they were organized, extremely talented, affordable and reliable. We really wanted a Motown/Funk vibe and boy did they deliver. They surprised us with an additional singer! At no additional cost! and two singers toured with Sly and the Family Stone! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! All I wanted to do during my wedding was listen to them and watch them preform, even when I was too tired to dance. I couldn't even keep track of the number of people who came up to me during and after the wedding telling how amazing the band was and where we found them. I am already thinking of excuses or events I can plan so that I can book them again. BOOK THEM! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Vybe Society is an incredibly talented group!! The music was out of this world, and brought such life and love to our wedding day. Our guests could not tell us enough how much they loved the band (from ceremony to reception)! On top of that, they learned a performed a very new song seamlessly!! From planning perspective, they were super easy to work with (responsive, organized) and helpful in educating us on what instruments would work with each part of the wedding day. Absolutely loved working with them and am recommending to all!

We hired Vybe Society for our wedding based on their glowing reviews and affordable pricing. Unfortunately, our experience was entirely inconsistent with what those reviews led us to expect—and in hindsight, we now question whether some of those reviews are genuine.

The band sends out extensive planning paperwork and gives repeated verbal assurances that all requests are “doable.” But on the day of, it was clear they hadn’t reviewed any of it. The groom’s processional song didn’t start until he was already halfway down the aisle. The bride’s song included the one verse we explicitly asked them to skip due to inappropriate lyrics—despite months of advance notice in writing.

For our reception, we had choreographed two dances, one involving all 120 guests. Instead of playing the original tracks we’d rehearsed to, the band performed an improvised version. When we asked to switch to the CD track, they refused to give us control of the speakers, resulting in a tense, embarrassing confrontation in front of our guests.

Vybe Society may work for bar gigs or casual jazz sets. But if you're planning a wedding or structured event, look elsewhere. Their disorganization and lack of accountability were deeply disappointing.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Vybe Society play at our wedding held at the stunning Olympias Valley Estate in Petaluma, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! From the moment we booked them—shortly after securing our venue—thanks to my husband’s strong desire for a live band and the numerous glowing reviews we’d read.

Working with Cathrine was an absolute joy. She was professional, communicative, and made the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free. On the big day, everything went off without a hitch.

One of the most memorable moments was when Vybe Society played our first dance song live, with my sister-in-law beautifully singing along. It was such a heartfelt and unique touch that made the moment even more magical.

Throughout the event, Vybe Society kept the energy high and the dance floor packed. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the music, complimenting the band’s talent and vibe all night long.
