Paul Askew's journey started from childhood under the tutelage of his mother who was a singer, participating in community choirs and productions.
Paul's favorite musical influences include artists like Brandy, Carl Thomas, Giveon, Usher, Jazmine Sullivan, The Clark Sisters, Smokie Norful, Leandria Johnson, Beyonce Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross and Stevie Wonder. Though his style goes beyond categorization of genres, he does give credit to them as being the pattern used to create his own as well as his mentorship under the Late Gospel Artist Troy Sneed.
After a decade of depression, substance addiction, several suicidal attempts, physical disability and the loss of his mother, Paul acknowledges a revival in spirit to get back into music. 2021 was his Revival. Being the First Artist signed under his own Recording Label, PaulPaul Music, Paul is holding nothing back in sharing with the World his transparency, heart and soul through his love of God, people and Life.
