Oni is a wonderful entertainer to work with. She was communicative during the booking process, and completely prepared the day of. She performed 'Lias' Mother for a group of seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia, and was amazing! Staff, residents, and family were all very impressed. She engaged the audience, bringing up residents to participate, and even getting a resident who never participates interested! Overall, a highly recommended performer. We will be inviting her back again in the future.
Oni's performance was the highlight of the evening, she was innovative, engaging and very educational. She has the ability to bring her character and settings to life. Watching Oni is an experience to be enjoyed and savored.
Response from Oni Lasana:
Hi Mr. Dixon,
Thank you for your review! It was a special treat for me as well. May your family continue to nurture the young talents and gather for many more years in good health and great joy!
Your "roots do run deep" and the fruits are delightful.
All the best, all the time to you and your lovely family.
We had Oni visit as the Storyteller and she was simply fantastic. The children were so enthralled and excited that many of them ran up to give Oni hugs following the performance. The variety of stories told was great and her ability to connect with the children was awesome.
Response from Oni Lasana:
Yes! Thank you for your kind review. The children in your community were so attentive, enthusiastic and wide eyed with wonder, how could I not respond in kind. It was also the warm welcome of both staff and students that ignited me to bring the stories to life. The big kids (teachers) were amazing too! It is a challenge to present for such a wide age range but everyone was right in the moment with me and we had a fabulous time. It was an adventure in travel time over hill, dale, farm and fields to arrive at your lovely school, but worth the trip and I do hope to visit again in the future. Thanks for finding me and booking me via Gig Salad. It was memorable!
All the best, all the time,
We recently had a visit from "Nana Aesop" (Oni Lasana) and it was wonderful. We are a residential facility that serves people with special needs--Nana Aesop was joyful and fun and the children and teens really enjoyed her stories! She was entertaining and full of positive energy. We look forward to having her back in the future :)
Response from Oni Lasana:
Thanks Beth, Your community was wonderful and very engaging. I enjoyed the diversity and enthusiasm of your clients and students. I also look forward to "celebrating creativity" with your community in the future.
All the best, Oni
We reached out to Oni to help us with an annual children's festival held in the forest of a community park. She not only adapted a character to fit our needs but she went above and beyond to support and promote our event. She was a pleasure to work with and captivated over 250 visitors throughout the day and her energy never waned!
Response from Oni Lasana:
Thanks Chelsea, for your review.
Working with your staff was a pleasure and to tell in one of the most beautiful conservancy's in Chester County, PA...well who wouldn't want to be Mama Earth!
One of the little girls mother's contacted me to present for her daughters birthday party but I was unavailable. But I hope to see her again one day at her school.
The best part of my job as a storyteller is meeting wonderful people who assist me in spreading joy to our children.
All the best, all the time!
