On The Side

Fun and energetic 5-piece band playing upbeat danceable favorites. All songs are highly recognizable but not the same old stuff all the other bands are playing. Our music is generally suitable for all ages. Some songs have mild profanity which can be replaced with G-rated versions upon request. People will want to dance when they hear us play and it is not uncommon to hear the crowd singing along with the band.

We will promote any specials during the show if you wish. We are here to help you increase your till as well as entertain the crowd.

In the summer of 2023, On the Side was born out of the combined vision of Donnie Bowles (guitar/vocals) and Steve "Sleeves Levine" Davis (lead vocals/harmonica). These two musicians, with an all-consuming desire to perform rock and roll that is fun to play, dance, and listen to, searched high and low for extremely talented professionals who shared that same passion for entertaining music.

Donnie and Sleeves eventually hit the jackpot in the fall of 2024, as the line-up solidified behind the rhythm section of Rocky Rush (Bass ) and Roger Baldwin (drums). Bob Randolph completed the band with his exceptional guitar and keyboard skills. The band has highly qualified back-up musicians that are available if any band member gets sick so you do not have to worry about last minute cancelations.

We call ourselves On the Side, but our shows are the full rock and roll meal.

Outdoor events require cover for the band. Stage generally should be at least 12x20 but bigger is better. We can make smaller spaces work as long as the stage is not more than 2 feet above the rest of the area. Band has full PA sound system and lights but can also work with what you have.
