Nurse to CEO

Expect a medical professional now CEO that is very compassionate about providing nothing but excellent care to patients. Expect a nurse, mom, wife, CEO 3x's to motivate everyone in the room to not only become appreciative of their present but become excited about their future. After speaking with so many people one thing that is consistently asked is why are you so positive, and how can you keep pushing, and I'll say every time, "God is Amazing and as long as I have breathed in my body, I will let the world know this one fact!" We are all human longing for acceptance, love, and understanding, and if we seek it, really seek it we will gain it. I have decided to look at the positivity in all aspects of life. We are all one, and it is my mission to show this similarity in each human being and get them to understanding the patient deserves nothing less than compassion, accountability and commitment.

In 2021, after getting home from my last COVID-19 travel nursing contract I told my husband we were taking all of our savings and starting a Healthcare Staffing Agency. He was like, "Babe I don't think this is the right time, and really all our savings." I said, "Yes all our savings!!' I love nursing to my core, but I saw something in my fellow medical professionals while working 60hr to 72hr shifts per week for almost two years, and I saw the loss of hope and compassion. I knew that if God allowed me to live that I would help to bring hope and compassion back to healthcare one medical professional at a time.

Let me explain my story.....

I am the Chief Executive Officer of Top of The Line Healthcare Staffing, TOTLHS Heart of Gold Inc a non-profit, and The Real Alisa Applewhite Consulting. I am a native of New Jersey, residing in North Carolina for over 20 years.

I have an amazing husband and five beautiful children. I have been in healthcare for over 18 years. I Started as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), then a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and now a Registered Nurse (RN). I have been a nurse for over 13 years and with this blessing I have been able to travel to over 20 different states in over 50 plus facilities working as a travel nurse.

My specialties have been Intensive Care Units (ICU), Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Units (STICU's), Neurosurgical Intensive Care Units (Neuro-ICU), Post anesthesia Care Units (PACU),Adult Psychiatric Units, Medical Surgical Units (Med-Surg), Telemetry Units (Tele), Progressive Care Units (PCU), several Step-down units, Emergency Departments (ER), COVID Units, Neurology Units, Long-term care nursing (LTC or SNF), Assisted Living care facilities (ALF), and Long-term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH).

I say all this to say that I have walked in the shoes of all the medical professionals I employ and who you will employ as well. I have cried, prayed and worked tirelessly attempting to make a difference in all patient's care. I have held the hand of several patients taking their last breath. I have hugged several family members after doing countless hours of CPR to help save patient lives. I have been on my feet for several hours helping trauma after trauma coming into the emergency departments. I have walked in my employee's shoes, so I know how to treat them.
I have been a business owner for less than 2 years and we now service over 70 clients. I have worked late several nights sometimes working 60hrs per week to make sure the business was profitable and creating 7 figure revenues. After one year in business, I formulated several methods that allowed me to have the financial freedom that I always desired as a medical professional.
After just one year my business is on Autopilot and if I want to take 3 weeks off I can, and it will not affect my revenue. A good friend once told me you are not financially stable until you are making money while you sleep, and I can truly say I am financially Stable.
I have been in contact with so many healthcare staffing owners who just can't get clients, and I knew it was time to reach back and help my fellow business owners.
Our business creates 7-figures consistently, and my business has helped me to employ over 230 medical professionals and 17 office staff. I am really proud that my business has allowed me to hire 15 of my own family members and give them jobs with offices, and integrity with knowing that everything we do leads to one vision and this vision is to show patients that compassion still exists in the healthcare field.
