Nozomi Murayama recently completed her MM from the New England Conservatory, studying with Nicholas Kitchen. An experienced orchestral player, she has served as concertmaster for the NEC Philharmonia, Eastman Philharmonia and Chautauqua Music School Festival Orchestra. She currently can be heard in various ensembles such as the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Du Bois Orchestra, and New Bedford Symphony. As a member of the Shimmer Quartet, they have received 2nd prize in the NOLA Chamber Fest Competition and performed for Caroline Shaw at a BSO Prelude concert. Nozomi is experienced in playing at various events such as weddings, funerals, and corporate events.
