After you have sent an enquiry, we will discuss event details including what service you are looking for, the layout of the venue, and your preferences for repertoire for the ceremony. I can offer many musical suggestions to inspire you for this part, you don't have to have all the answers right away! After we have those details organised, we're all ready for the big day - I will arrive early to set-up, tune, and play for your guests arriving.
I am an Irish-born harpist with a music degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, where I held an instrumental performance scholarship. I've been in Ottawa since late 2024 and am so excited to continue my freelance harping journey here!
I would love to work with you to curate the perfect playlist and bring some extra magic to your special day, be it a wedding, party, corporate event (or even something a little different!).
I play Irish music, classical, contemporary and pop music - whether you want jigs, reels & waltzes, the Beatles, Einaudi or the latest pop hits, I can play it. Being able to cater to a wide range of musical tastes is a huge part of what I love about the harp.
I have many years of experience curating repertoire and performing the harp at weddings and events, and my rates will always include a consultation with you to talk through your needs, wishes and special requests.
No technical requirements at all! The harp projects well, and usually does not need amplification for your ceremony. All I need the venue to provide is a standard chair (no arm rests).
Amplification may be required for your cocktail hour - we can talk through the size and layout of the venue to make a decision on this.

I have an extensive list of repertoire to help you pick your ceremony music - I will put a short sample below, and you can browse the whole thing when we're planning your ceremony. If there's a piece you don't see at that point, you can request it free of charge (additional pieces past one request may be charged depending on the time commitment involved).
