With rock solid rhythms and penetrating powerhouse vocals, Canadian singer/songwriter, Annette Smith, aka "Nettish" has been captivating Hamilton & GTA audiences of all ages. A multi instrumentalist and veteran performer with over 20 years experience, she's best known for crowd-pleasing acoustic rock and blues. She performs in a variety of music ensembles (solo, duo, 3-piece, 4-piece, 5-piece), and teaches music to children when not on stage. She performs with several bands and a variety of artists in the greater Toronto/Hamilton area while continuing to hone her own songwriting craft and solo career. Nettish has a loyal following in the Hamilton area and continually attracts new fans.
Annette and the band members revved up the attention of the riders and volunteers alike with their own brand of rock and blues at the annual CAPPY Ride, a charity motorcycle ride. The live music lent much to the sociable gathering after the ride. Thrive Child and Youth Trauma Services thank the band members for their years of support at this event and give them 5 stars!

Nettish (Annette Smith) was born and raised in The Hammer and has been active in the local music scene all her life. Passionate about her craft, she has honed her repertoire by honouring early influencers (Melissa Etheridge, Chrissie Hynde, Janis Joplin) with powerful vocals while exploring her melodic range in several genres. As a songwriter, Nettish has revealed an emotional range that is musically engaging as well as thought provoking. Fan favourites like What's Up (4 Non Blondes) and Let It Rain (Amanda Marshall) showcase her depth, while original tunes like Lovers and Madmen or Guide Me to the Light highlight her uniquely grounded view of the world.
A multi-instrumentalist, Nettish is adept at guitar, comfortable with keyboards, and solid on percussion. A popular music teacher at a Hamilton alternative elementary school, she also offers lessons through her own music school, Treble Clef Kids. From triangle and recorder to piano and violin, she helps young people do more than learn to play...she helps them find their voice and express themselves through music.
Nettish has wowed crowds from the stages of large music festivals and events, and added goosebumps to intimate settings including weddings and private functions. She is often invited to join others on stage (in places as far apart as Caledonia and Cozumel) and is happy to support like-minded musicians in pursuit of the magic that is live performance. Featured several times in local media, her career has always been about the love of music and the connection with her audience. She has mentored many young and beginning artists, and collaborated on numerous musical projects with others.
Currently, Nettish continues a successful solo career and is also active as a member of BluFunk Buddha (5-piece blues/top40/dance band) and Cutaway (acoustic trio). She's now preparing for a return to the studio to record her second CD, a follow-up to Lovers and Madmen.
