Music Time with Megan

Music is and has always been my deepest passion.. and how grateful I am for the privilege of doing this for a living! I've been performing professionally for over 20 years, after having graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. My style varies depending on my audience. For the past 14 years, I have enjoyed performing for children & families across the San Francisco Bay Area, in addition to the occasional set of “grown up” music. I have a very wide repertoire of original and familiar music, but ultimately, I prefer playing the music that my host and audience want to hear.

My performances include acoustic guitar, percussion and vocals. I have my own top quality sound equipment that I can bring, or am happy to use equipment provided. Or if going unplugged is your thing, I'm fine with that as well :) I am comfortable performing in any size space, from a small room to a stadium, and punctuality is a top priority of mine.

I enjoy working with clients to come up with the best musical experience possible, and am always happy to learn new music, if there are any special requests. Megan began her music career at the age of 2 years old, playing on pots and pans with wooden spoons. From a very young age, she was hooked on music, wanting to play any instrument she could get her hands on. As a child, she studied drums & percussion, piano and flute; taught herself oboe, guitar and bass; and also wrote her own songs.

Megan is a 2004 graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, with a degree in Music Therapy. While living in Boston, she rediscovered a love for songwriting, and began recording and performing original music around the city. In that time, she released 2 solo albums.

After pursuing her life long dream of driving across the country to move to Northern California, Megan became certified to teach interactive music classes with families, and began teaching & performing all over the Bay Area. She currently offers music classes across Marin and also offers interactive music performances at birthday parties, special events and festivals across the Bay Area and beyond!

Bay Area Parent Magazine voted Megan the “Best of the Best” in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 in the categories of “Local Family Entertainment”, “Party Entertainment” and “Music Class”.

Megan is an award winning singer-songwriter, having received Parents’ Choice Awards and NAPPA Awards for her 4 children’s albums, “Bubba & Boo” (2018), “You Are Enough” (2019), “The Light” (2021) and “Bloom” (2023). She is also a member of the Recording Academy.

I have my own sound equipment, if amplified sound is required.
