This is 30 minutes of music entertainment and activities for any children's birthday party. There will be educational age appropriate games based on a theme you provide. There are already possible themes of: seasons, dinosaurs, around the world, space, zoo day, and broadway. Any theme you have can be can be creatively cultivated to your liking. What a personal, hands on, educational way to rock out on your B-Day! Please inquire for bookings.

December 7, 2020Music Moves In Me performed for over 70 little ones and their parents in an outdoor amphitheater setting and I was very impressed! Ms. Calia was able to hold the attention of the children throughout their whole musical set, even including helpers from the audience - encouraging assistance with drums, maracas & etc. The kids were engaged and had a great time! Music Moves in Me had a merchandise table where proceeds help provide instruments to students, which I thought was pretty cool too. At the end of the performance, Ms. Calia and her teacher’s assistant handed out a cute goodie bag with a small treat & a kazoo for the kids to take home, I thought that was unique and overall I enjoyed the work this company put on!

What is the objective of Music Moves In Me?
The purpose of this class is to introduce the basic music concepts, structure, expression, and theory with movement. You will notice how children start to express themselves creatively. Playing and discovering music has so many benefits. They will specifically:
-Learn to match short phrases
-Learn solfege (Do-Re-Mi)
-Become aware of sequence
-Discover tempo & music dynamics
-Match fun movements to rhythm
How is this music class unique from other offerings?
Early education concepts have been combined with the introductory of basic music concepts, structure, expression, theory, and movement. This class uses music to enhance development with the world around them. In class we include activities that require teamwork. This creates a base for continued social growth which all children need.
Our wonderful teaching team is so glad to be serving children by making music dynamic, fun, and teachable which helps to build confidence in young minds. Calia (the owner) has pursued theater, early education, as well as leading children's theater camps... and morphed all these experiences into her music teaching curriculum. These birthday parties are designed to vary for either a mixed age group or an age specific one. Fun group and team building games are woven into your one hour set. We hope to bring a great performance experience to you and your children.
These birthday party performances can be experienced in an intimate setting such as a home or even in bigger arenas, such as; a children's center, rented space, or even a park. I am completely mobile, so we bring all the tools necessary for the musical set. No need for anything to be provided by you. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Growing up I was raised by musical parents. My father was a song writer and my mother was a school teacher. I received a B.A. in Theater but then became interested in teaching as well. Several early childhood classes later I was teaching preschool myself. Then I wanted to see how I could bridge early education and music together. I wanted to engage children with musical genres for all over so they feel connected to the world around them. I hope to cultivate a loving and open environment so young minds can discover and grow through music education. So there came my company Music Moves In Me. And now we have a wonderful teaching team dedicated to bring the perfect party to you!!
