Mr. Robin C. Johnston brings more than 25 years of experience in serving on and working with boards and committees of all shapes and sizes. His first committee experience was being recruited to serve as a member of a YMCA capital campaign committee to raise $5 million when he was just 18 years old. The following year, he became president of the local chapter of a well-known national charity. At 24 he was elected city commissioner, during which he served on dozens of boards and committees over his three year term. He later spent 11 years as a vice president responsible for fundraising for colleges in North Carolina and Florida.
In 2012, Robin formed the team behind Motivation Design Group (MDG), a Tallahassee-based company that helps nonprofits raise more money by aligning volunteers’ passions, organizational needs and donor interests. MDG is the exclusive provider of Fundraising Judo, a board maturity model designed to increase alignment and motivate fundraising-oriented action among nonprofit board members and volunteers.
Robin is a Certified Management Consultant and a member of the National Speakers Association, and holds an MBA in Marketing and Corporate Strategy.
