We hosted a small celebration of about 25–30 guests after my daughter’s baptism, and I decided this time I was going to do things a little differently.

I’m someone who loves to host, but more often than not, I find myself so busy putting out food, pouring drinks, and making sure everyone is taken care of that I barely get a chance to greet my guests or enjoy their company.

This time, I wanted to actually be present, and I’m so happy I made that decision.
