I performed for Larry Robinson, veteran and musician who is currently bedridden in a nursing home. There were no arrangements except to play privately in his room. So I talked with Larry a bit and got down to business of singing and playing guitar and cheering him up. He was accompanied by a chaplain type woman who was visiting and later his roommate came in. It was only an hour but a fully packed with requests and singalongs. Very satisfying for me and hopefully for Larry.

Had a good time walking the fine line between entertaining and creating a holiday atmosphere so the attendees can enjoy each other’s company. I got to play Christmas faves on the harmonica and sing my mixed bag of Americana and classic rock. Always challenging to play a new place, Ditka’s, and a new audience
