Overview
Hello I'm Singer-songwriter who happens to be the nephew of BB King and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. In 2017, he won a year of rent as an artist in residence in Downtown Chicago. He played over 200 shows in 2017.
For events, he performs on acoustic guitar and plays everything from intimate romantic settings (boat rides, proposals) to 100's of people (weddings, parties, corporate events). He prides himself on his professionalism and his ability to engage and read a crowd. He'll handle the music so you can focus on your guests.

Phillip-Michael is a true professional. From the moment we started speaking on the phone, I knew he was special. His videos were great online, but really don’t do justice how enchanting he is live! He has an amazing well-rounded set list that pleased our guests young and old. He even learned a couple of songs specifically by my request. The vibe he creates is really magicsl and made my husbands 50th bday really special.

Phillip-Michael Scales just recently played at our wedding on May 6, 2017. From our first contact he was very nice and accommodating. Very easy to work with. He was always available to answer questions and give suggestions, he completely put me at ease and I only needed to hear his voice for a few seconds before I knew I HAD to have him celebrate at our wedding with us! Hello I'm a professional singer-songwriter based in Nashville and Portland. I spend the majority of my time touring original music I also love playing Blues, Motown, Americana, and Pop. I've toured with Keb' Mo', Jerry Cantrell, Caravan Palace and performed on the Ellen Degeneres show.
