One Of The Best!

Nick plays at my bar, Barrel Society, 4-5 times a year and he’s absolutely fantastic! His playing is incredible, and the way he engages with the crowd keeps them coming back every time! 10/10 would book again and again!

What to expect

Fun. Energetic. Engaging. That's just a few ways that folks have described what I do on stage. Whether solo or alone, I'm always bringing the energy with a blend of heart, passion, and adrenaline. Between songs I'm cracking jokes and talking to folks before busting out a song that you probably know the words to - or at least that what you'd tell yourself if you were to sing it at karaoke.

I'm available with sound, mixer, stands, mics, speakers.
Full band, solo, duo arrangements all available.
Up to 4 hours of performance time.
70's through today hits and one hit wonders. Songs people know and love delivered with skill and care. There's no phoning it in here.

About

Hey there! I'm Nick Wilkinson, midwest troubadour and music guy. I've been playing music since I was a teenager and snuck into a class in high school. They said you had to know how to play music, and I lied my way through it and came out playing saxophone for our school's concert and marching bands.

Since then, I've learned guitar written 100's of songs, and play shows, host events, and even started a radio show. I've played all over the midwest, some of the west coast, and have been nominated for multiple awards in performance, writing, and recorded music. I've even recorded a song with a Steven Page (formerly of the Barenaked Ladies)

I'm heavily influenced by the music I discovered as a child and through my teenage years. Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Weezer, Green Day, Snow Patrol, and Clem Snide. Folks tell me my music is "folk rock for overthinkers" as I dive into intrusive throughts and try and find poetry in the neuroses.

You can find me playing sold out shows across the Midwest, bars, restaurants, or hosting 2 weekly music showcases in the city or on Amplisounds Radio every Friday at 2 p.m.

My latest release is a live album recorded at Uncommon Ground available on my Bandcamp.

Thanks for reading and I hope to catch you from the stage soon.
