Megan Denman, Pianist

As a classically trained pianist who also committed to years of jazz piano studies, I have the artistry and versatility to play just about any style or genre you'd like, so long as it works on the piano. If I don't know a tune, I can find it via the internet and learn it quickly for your event.
I love catering to my clients' needs and the variety of gigs that result from evolving tastes!

Megan Denman (she/her) hails from from Lakewood, Ohio. She has a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance from Baldwin-Wallace University and Master’s from University of Akron. Her piano instructors include Robert Mayerovitch and Laura Silverman, and organ instructors Margaret Scharf and Barbara McGregor.

Ms. Denman is an adept collaborative pianist, having served as staff at Baldwin-Wallace, the University of Akron, Cleveland State University, Kent State University and more. She maintains a thriving private piano studio and enjoys the shared challenge of guiding each student along their unique musical journey. Megan studied jazz piano with Rock Wehrmann and Ron Drotos, and her working knowledge of jazz and improvisation permeates her teaching and playing.

Megan has served as pianist for Windsong, Cleveland’s Feminist Chorus since August, 2023. She seeks out intentional musical projects that coincide with her values and spark creative connection. In her spare time, Megan enjoys gardening, reading, social justice activism and spending time with her niblings.

I own a Casio Privia piano and high-quality Roland amp which I am happy to bring to your event for a minimal cartage fee.

For pianos and organs onsite, please confirm it to be in good tune and in working order before the event. The last thing we want is for your event to be marred by an incapable instrument!

For events over 30 miles from my Lakewood, OH residence, I will charge a transportation fee.
