June 14, 2022I hired Mary for two separate gigs—the first gig was for a session where she had to cover an alt/pop song (with my band) and the other gig was a show where I needed a vocalist to sing the lead vocals over a reimagined (reharmonized + reorchestrated) cover. I let her know I expected her to memorize the lyrics for both gigs and bring in-ear monitors to both gigs.
Mary showed up on time, came prepared with the appropriate attire and gear, and blew us away with her voice both times. She quickly adjusted to working with a click track, took critique well and made appropriate adjustments quickly, brought a vibrant energy to both gigs, and was fun to work with as well.
Whether it’s for a session or for a private/public event that needs a vocalist, I would definitely recommend Mary. She has great classical chops and can also get down with pop / rock / r&b etc. She is guaranteed to make your event / session truly special.
