Choreographer and performer with 13 years professional work as a commercial dancer on cruise ships, a riverboat, in casinos and dinner theaters. Technically trained in jazz, ballet, contemporary, and tap, I am prepared to take on just about any style of dance. As a choreographer, I seek to entertain through showgirl pizzazz, the swing of jazz, or through an emotionally-charged story line. As a dance educator, I work with studios and schools, and all ages of dance enthusiasts, to integrate those passionate about dance further with the art of dance.

What to Expect
I am a sassy, jazzy, buoyant personality on-stage and off. I approach performing and choreographing with excitement and an eye for cohesion between artistic vision and final product. Jazz dance is definitely the major component in my technique and my composition choices. I enjoy the energy and explosion of movement which catches the eye and makes audiences smile. I am well-grounded in the American vernacular movements of jazz dance, tap, and hiphop. I experiment with the release of contemporary dance and how contemporary can create such strong, present moments.
In the cohesion of concepts, I keep an eye on costuming, lighting, and production as well. For me, dance is part of a greater whole. Whether dance is the highlight of an event or show, or a beautiful background, I believe each part of a production or event should be supported by its many pieces. I carry this into marketing and promotion, creating trailers and assisting in the designing of marketing material that also supports an event. I want audiences engaged and anticipatory of any event I am a part of.
Between my own working experiences and my education, I bring a broad understanding of the life of the working dancer. I studied dance from the perspective of the American working dancer through the Oklahoma City University dance program, and then later, from the contemporary-based program at Florida State University, through their Masters of Fine Arts program. When not dancing, I help advocate for dancers through programs such as The Actors Fund, and Career Transitions for Dancers. I believe in artists living healthy lives; physically, emotionally, and financially rewarding.
If you want a professional on your team who values teamwork, cohesion, and audience engagement, I am the one you are looking for. I hope we have an opportunity to create wonderful events and productions together.

I am highly versatile and can work with what you have available, or come up with a creative solution to raise the bar on your next production. I base needs on a per-event basis and enjoy finding the most positive outcome.
