Marlies is an established vocalist, musician, songwriter and arranger, performing since the age of 8 years old. Her shows are more like a concert and she is known to quiet a room with just three notes. She is what many call The Woodlands' premiere "Songbird," singing feel good “vibes” and songs that will tug at your heart. Her style is chic and she uses an old style throwback microphone that lets her voice cut through the room with laser precision. She calls her style Bohemian Blues and we would agree.
This is a mix of Pop, Rock, Folk and more.... Anything from Fleetwood Mac and Chris Cornell, to Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga, Pink and Billie Eilish, Bonnie Raitt and Led Zeppellin and every genre/time period. Her take on many songs and arrangements are truly breathtaking.
She had ranked number one in the state for Vocals in High School and College, with a full music scholarship to Baylor University, while also as a Christian recording artist. She has performed as a lead in over 20 musicals, for 2 Sitting Presidents, on stages like Carnegie Hall, The Woodlands Pavillion and on national TV. She uses her voice for non-profit events across the area as a way to give back.
After becoming a mom, she took a back seat to center stage and touring to focus on her family. We are happy she is back at it and highly encourage you take a listen as her following is growing fast. And for good reason.
