Not only is Marcel ridiculously talented - but he is the kindest most accommodating musician ever. He learned multiple songs very close to the deadline just to make my mom’s surprise 60th perfect. His set list was incredible and so hard to choose from! He was the most perfect addition to my mom’s party. I 10/10 recommend hiring him. We will definitely be using him again thank you Marcel!!

Awesome Birthday Party!

Will hire again!

This band was absolutely perfect for our three hour neighborhood block party. We had a multi-generational gathering where everyone loved the music. Many people asked how to hire them, as well. They were easy to work with, showed up on time, even played an encore. Definitely hire them!

Hey there! I'm Marcel Acoustic, a passionate musician with a heart rooted in the rhythms of the past. Born in Puerto Rico, I brought the vibrant spirit of my homeland with me when I moved to the US at the age of six. Music runs in my veins, a legacy passed down from my grandfather, who was a musician back in the 40s. This connection to my roots has always fueled my love for music and shaped my journey as an artist.

I started strumming my guitar professionally in 2001, and since moving to Clearwater, FL in 2004, I've been living my dream, playing music that brings back memories and creates new ones. My gigs are like stepping into a time machine. Imagine a place where the classics of the Oldies, the energy of the 80s, and the vibes of the 90s come alive through my guitar strings. I'm all about bringing those good old tunes to life, making sure each performance is a trip down memory lane.

When I play, it's more than just music; it's a celebration of eras that have shaped so many of us. My performances are laid-back yet full of life, creating an atmosphere where everyone can sing along and relive the glory of the past. I bring a slice of my heritage to every gig, blending the warmth of Puerto Rican rhythms with the timeless hits I play. So, if you're looking for a night of nostalgia, great tunes, and a touch of island soul, I'm your guy. Let's make some memories together with music that never grows old!

Additional booking notes

For my performances, the technical requirements are quite straightforward and minimal, ensuring a hassle-free setup for any event. Here’s what I typically need:

Space for Performance: A small to medium-sized area to comfortably accommodate myself and my equipment. This space should allow for free movement with my guitar and accessibility to my audience.

Power Source: Access to a standard electrical outlet is essential to power my Bose PA system and other equipment.

Sound Equipment: I bring my own high-quality Bose PA system, which is well-suited for acoustic gigs. It delivers clear and robust sound, ideal for both intimate settings and larger venues.

Instrument and Accessories: I use my acoustic guitar along with a stand for my computer, which I use for lyrics.

Optional Lighting: If the venue can provide additional lighting, that’s a great bonus, but it's not a requirement for my performance. Adequate lighting helps create the right ambiance and enhances the audience's experience.

Larger Venues Requirements: For events in bigger venues, there might be a need for additional PA and lighting equipment. In such cases, this can be arranged at an additional cost. The specifics can be discussed and tailored according to the event's size and requirements.

Overall, my technical needs are designed to be as simple and efficient as possible, focusing on delivering quality music without the need for complex setups. This ensures that I can adapt to a variety of venues and events with ease.

My musical influences are as diverse as the songs I perform, drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists and bands that have shaped the Oldies, 80s, and 90s music landscape. From the revolutionary rock and pop beats of The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to the soulful rhythms of Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding, these legends of the Oldies era have had a profound impact on my musical style and repertoire.

Moving into the 80s, my influences include the iconic sounds of Prince, with his unique blend of funk, rock, and pop, and the energetic rock anthems of Billy Idol. The synth-pop and new wave vibes of bands like Depeche Mode and Duran Duran also play a significant role in shaping the musical atmosphere of my performances.

As for the 90s, the grunge movement, epitomized by bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam, along with alternative rock groups like the Foo Fighters and Green Day, have greatly influenced my approach to music. Their raw energy and expressive lyrics resonate deeply with my style.
