Manicburg

A very intense and various act with theatrical elements, that spans from hard rock to psychedelic ballads, to visionary acoustic pieces, with an instrumentation that includes organ and accordion.

MANICBURG is the creation of Ray Lustig, a native New Yorker composer and Juilliard composition teacher, and Luigi Porto, Italian born musician hailing from the European indie/experimental scene.
Their first album is scheduled for the end of 2023 on Respirano Records.

MANICBURG can perform as a 5 elements rock band with keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and singer with additional occasional instruments like accordion and acoustic guitar.

The extended line-up for the bigger stages includes a second guitarist.

The band performs songs in unplugged and showcase settings as well, down to 2 people (Porto and Lustig).

There are 3 voices, two of them connected to vocal processors: electric guitar comes out of 2 amplifiers and one direct channel in bigger venues, but goes down to 1 regular amp mic on small clubs.

Another microphone channel for the accordion is needed, sharing the mic stand with Lustig's vocal mic.

Any regular backline drumset with standard miking works, and a backline bass amp is highly appreciated.

The singer performs in his signature stage costume.
