Atlanta based Magnolia Express plays a "musical stew" of rock, country, bluegrass and honky tonk. We play original music and choice covers from all over the musical spectrum-Grateful Dead, Johnny Cash, Billy Strings, Flat and Scruggs, John Prine, and even Pink Floyd. You also might hear and dance to a new interpretation of an old gospel or folk tune. It's all about having fun with the music and tailoring a set of music for your special event. Our sound and "fun factor" are unique !!

Atlanta based Magnolia Express is a unique band.....we play a musical stew of rock, bluegrass, country, jam and honky tonk music. We power the music with acoustic instruments-Guitar, Fiddle, Banjo, Stand Up Bass, and percussion. Collectively, the band has over 100 years of musical experience playing professionally. We have released 2 albums of original music that are available on all streaming services.
Each member has brought a unique musical influence to the band which makes us hard to categorize. The one thing we do know if HOW TO HAVE FUN and create a great musical environment for your event. If you want the "same old thing" we are NOT your band. If you want a fresh, energetic and fun approach to acoustic music, book us.
We have our own professional sound and lights, but can also utilize an existing system. If you are planning to provide sound, we need to chat and provide you with our technical rider. We will always need access to power and if an event is outside, we'd respectfully ask that cover or an EZ UP be provided. Food and drinks are always appreciated by Magnolia Express !!
