October 29, 2024Sooo greattt!!!
I do not think there are enough words to describe the genuineness and support that Mac provided for me for a special unique event that I had come up with for a Halloween theme party. He was the best I could've ever imagined. He helped provide feedback for a script along with props and other additional items that made the event truly special for me and my family. Mac is one of a kind and highly recommend him for any event.

Additional booking notes
Staging
Although Mac can perform anywhere, the ideal situation allows him to mingle with the audience during the performance or presentation, as his audience is an integral part of what he does and it's more engaging and fun this way!
Lighting
Whether performing in a theater or an open space, Mac simply needs a well-lit main performance area and a sufficiently lit audience area so that Mac can see the audience and members of the audience can see each other. Unless otherwise requested, no significant lighting cues are required.
Power
Easy access to an electrical outlet is ideal for musical improv shows. Although acoustic instruments are available if an electrical outlet is not possible.
Amplification
If the space is significantly big, Mac would need a sound system, preferably a wireless mic system.

Testimonials
Mac Duffy was the festival's Master of Ceremonies at our 12th annual IFFF Awards Ceremony. In short, it is the IFFF's single most important event of the year. The chosen MC is hopefully an actor who can truly think fast on his feet, is improvisational by nature, smart, cultured and very gracious of heart. Mac Duffy certainly fit the bill and then some. Mac's personality and showmanship kept the audience together and thoroughly entertained by his witty and sometimes appropriately pithy remarks. The IFFF Awards Ceremony was presented during the Super Bowl XLI broadcast. Mac rose to the occasion. Instead of ignoring or apologizing for the scheduling gaffe, Mac turned lemons into lemonade by keeping the audience up to date on the game's progress while not diminishing any of the importance or luster from the evening's award winners or talented presenters. Mac not only kept his balance, but he did so with panache. It came off as one of IFFF's best Awards Ceremonies ever. If an actor's skill lies in his understanding of an audience, I'd say Mac has the gift. I strongly suggest you consider working with Mac Duffy in your next creative film or stage event - Mac delivers.

"Mac Duffy reminds me of a younger Garrison Keillor. You're looking at his innocent face and listening to the casual tone and then something he says from left field makes you explode with laughter. Like all great storytellers, Duffy delivers surprise, surprise, surprise."
– Rubin Carson
"Mac, On behalf of the Hirshberg Foundation, we want to thank you for your participation at the LA Cancer Challenge / Kids Can Cure event. You were an integral part of the success of the Kids Can Cure Expo and Fun Run. We appreciate your energy, passion, and talent as a storyteller, as well as the incredible way you manage to captivate 200 children and their parents. We hope you will work with us again in years to come."
