Delightful and fun!

Sandy Sunshine was perfect for my daughter's 7th birthday party with her 2nd Grade classmates. She was fun, upbeat, and went with the flow in response to their impromptu questions about her magic tricks. She's clearly great with children and enjoys what she does. I would definitely recommend her and use her again for a child's birthday party.

Flexible, engaging, and fun!

I hired Sandy for my son's 9th birthday party for some kids magic and games. After the magic show the kids did not show much interest in games, so Sandy was quick to pivot and engage them in balloon twisting. I had not imagined that 9 year olds would be in balloon twisting, but I am so glad that she came prepared with extra ideas. The line for balloons never ended, with even some parents joining :). Also, I had to move the party by a week due to bad weather and Sandy was very flexible in accommodating the change. Highly recommend her!

The kids loved her!

Sandy was so amazing! She got to our event a little early, and then really took the time to make sure each child got at least two balloons. We had kids from two years old to 12 and she went around the party making sure each child got attention. Of course there were times where she was seated with multiple kids, but especially since this was a party for younger children, their attention wouldn’t last, and she was so great at making time for all of them.

Different Expectations

We were looking for someone to come and bring some light fun to our twin daughters 2nd birthday party. We were hoping for some songs, games, face paint a la the Ms. Rachel vibe. Unfortunately what we got was a magic show that did not seem suited for toddlers and frustration on behalf of Sandy when the children lost interest. The in bright spot were the balloon animals which all of the children enjoyed. I want to give the benefit of the doubt as It may have come down to miscommunication and maligned expectations.

Hi Rodney, I’m sorry you weren’t happy with my services. We talked thoroughly about your party before you hired me, and though you asked for Miss Rachel, we can both look at our messages and clearly see that I told you I would not be able to play Miss Rachel as I do not have the costume, and could not prepare the role in the few days we had before your party. Instead of hiring someone else to play Miss Rachel you hired me knowing I was not going to sing, dress in character or be Miss Rachel at all. I told you what I could provide on short notice and you chose a magic show, and balloons instead of the many other activities we could have done like facepainting, games or bubbles etc that would have been better for the audience age. We discussed all this before you hired me, so I’m definitely confused as to why you expected what you did not book. I gave you exactly what you asked and paid for. If Miss Rachel was what you wanted, a different performer would have been best for you to choose at the time when I said I wouldn’t be able to play the role requested. Your daughters were lovely and I hope you go with your instinct next time and hire exactly what you’re looking for so you’re not frustrated next time with not getting what you wanted. I sincerely wish you all the best. Your family and friends were very nice.

A seasoned entertainer who’s able to roll with the punches. Did your facepainting booking become a pool party? Let’s do glitter tattoos. Are there sensitive children who can’t handle balloons but I’ve been booked just to do balloons? Let’s do some games.

Whether you have 2 kids needing to be entertained for hours, or a hundreds of guests that just need a quick facepaint stamp, I’m your performer. With a lifetime of experience acting and caring for children as well as an education supporting this passion your event is in good hands.

We plan together your event based on needs and what we know, but then leave room for improvisation day of for any adjustments or changes needed. This allows us to create an event perfectly designed for you and your guests.

About

I’m a kids Entertainer. I do facepainting, balloon twisting, magic, games, crafts, glitter tattoos, singing, characters etc. I have an associates degree in behavioral science specializing in childhood education. This helps me to connect with children across the board, including those with autism or disabilities.

My goal every time I book an event is that the children feel loved and safe. This is the key to a successful party in my mind as it allows all children and adults to have fun and enjoy themselves.

I have worked for many of the top companies for over a decade all over LA and have even travelled to other countries and states for events. I recently branched out on my own to give my clients more consistency and availability.

Celebrating with you on your special day and bringing smiles to your guests faces is my joy and honor. I look forward to chatting with you and designing your perfect event.
