Mac Talla Quartet can function at both centre-stage and as background music.
For background music, we will play a variety of music from different genres, including classical, pop and folk. Our music adds a touch of class and sophistication to any event. We have much experience with weddings, can handle complicated cues, and improvise if the ceremony doesn't go according to plan!
We are equally adept at centre-stage, and when given the opportunity to shine, we can lift up our voices and sing.
Mac Talla Quartet was formed when three fiddlers, from three different Celtic groups, decided that they needed to play more music together. They added a cello, and magic resulted.
All we need is a place to play. Outdoor performances must be sheltered from rain and sun: string instruments are finicky.
