Love is Blind Officiant - Steve Fredlund

You can expect a process that is professional and customized to exactly what you are hoping for. My basic process involves:

01 - Initial Consultation - Zoom meeting to discuss your individual and shared lives, your vision for the future, and your desired ceremony style.

02 - Ceremony Planning - Discussion of ceremony specifics—inclusions, exclusions, readings, unity ceremonies (candle, sand, etc.), or other ideas Steve can share with you, and logistical details.

03 - Ceremony Outline - An initial outline of the ceremony, which will be modified as needed to get exactly what you want.

04 - Personal Touches - Steve will ask you each to share three things that you love about your partner, but doing so confidentially (without your partner knowing) so Steve can reveal these during the ceremony. This is always an incredibly sweet part of the wedding everyone enjoys, including the couple.

05 - Final Script - Steve will prepare a full, personalized script for the ceremony.

06 - Rehearsal Support - While not typically necessary, Steve can be available for a video call during the rehearsal or a separate consultation to review details.

07 - Ceremony - Steve delivers the service you want in a way that celebrates your love, engages attendees, and leaves everyone feeling they are part of your remarkable story.

08 - Marriage License - Following the wedding (or before if easier), Steve will sign the marriage certificate. Sometimes couples choose to sign during the service, further helping attendees realize they are part of something momentous.

Steve Fredlund is a professional speaker (including two TEDx talks) who travels the country (and beyond) inspiring individuals, teams and organizations. He is also a part-time wedding officiant, simply because he loves being part of such a big milestone in people's lives.

Steve knows the frustration when wedding officiants make the ceremony about themselves or use it as an opportunity to try to convince people to believe something not related to the wedding.... or when it's just flat-out boring. Steve works hard to change all that with a message that is personal to the couple but also engages those in attendance in a way that honors them and brings them closer into the celebration.

If it's a small group we don't need a microphone; but if a microphone is needed (so people can hear or for recording purposes), then the preference would be a lapel microphone followed by a handheld.
