Lotus Head Band is primarily a duo. We compose and write all of our songs. Lamont is a tai chi teacher/mindfulness skills creator and instructor and Jai Lynn is a yoga teacher/massage therapist/mindfulness skills instructor. Together they entertain their listeners into a relaxing presence of being. We will gladly travel but will need to create tours towards distant destinations. We would love to have an east coast tour and a west coast tour with a combination of shows, classes, workshops and retreats along with way!

We have our own equipment. We play keyboard, bass, gong, harmonium and various percussive instruments. Our mics, amps, p.a. can definitely come along or if there is this equipment we can just bring our instruments. We can play purely entertainment set or we can lead a participatory set.
Lotus Head Band is a duo creating conscious contemporary music to help you feel the bliss and internal peaceful well being. We have been a dinner band, a house concert band, opener for headliners, and headliners. We bring our mission of helping you find a natural state of relaxation to our music, classes, workshops, and retreats. Beyond our entertainment singer/songwriter chapter, we also play music for yoga and meditation classes, record music for massage and home practice meditation, we teach yoga and tai chi, we lead groups into mindfulness practice as well. We can help you create an event which includes participatory mindful acts, yoga, and or tai chi. Or we can come play music at your next party. Our personal backgrounds of tai chi, yoga and meditation practices greatly influence our lyrics and compositions. We feel they are wonderful for the imagination. Some comments at our shows include repetitively: how creative and positive our lyrics are, how soothing Jai Lynn's voice is, how beautiful the music is.
Some bands we like: Trevor Hall, Michael Franti, Radio Head, Mateo Monk, Fantuzzi, Nahko Bear, Natty Nation, Beats Antique, MC Yogi and many others.
We can do a completely acoustic set or we can bring our own sound equipment and instruments. If sound is included on location, we need 2-3 mics, a bass/keyboard amp, a mic amp
