I'm sorry that you were unhappy with the performance. I remember asking if I needed to bring any equipment and was told that it was covered, yet I had to perform without a microphone or speakers, and before the birthday celebrant arrived at the venue(which caused me to have to start over). A mic makes a huge difference during a stand-up performance. Without a mic, a comedian is basically someone yelling at strangers in a room, and it's much harder to capture or hold their attention.

I accept that things didn't go the way either one of us wanted them to. To avoid this happening again with any other comics you book, I suggest providing a sound setup or telling them to bring their own. The magician advised me to keep my sound system with me in the future. I will chalk this up as a learning experience moving forward.

Merry Christmas, and I hope that the rest of the birthday party was fun. Once again, I wanted things to go well, and I'm sorry that it didn't live up to your expectations.
