Insurance: $1,000,000 - We carry liability coverage where ever we teach and are members of BMI and ACAP for the music we play.
As your dance instructors for your event, we can provide a lesson anywhere from a half hour to a full day workshop, depending on your needs, desires and goals. The event can include: costume or appropriate theme attire, DJ services with appropriate music, a lesson, a demo or performance. We are flexible and can help you craft your vision for a perfect event or fundraiser.
Linda & Chester Freeman are two of the Hudson Valley's most renowned swing dance instructors. As owners of Got2Lindy Dance Studios since 2004, they have turned thousands of people from strangers to friends and from non-dancers into dancers. They have have been the head swing dance teachers at the famous Saratoga Dance Flurry teaching up to 500 people to swing dance, as well as all over the world aboard the Holland America Cruise line. Their mission is to spread the love of lindy hop. Their mentor and teacher was the famous Frankie Manning, featured on Ken Burn's Jazz Series and author of The Ambassador of Lindy Hop. Lindy Hop is the authentic style of Swing Dance, also known as lindy or jitterbug.
We require only the space to accommodate your party size. We can bring our sound system and microphones.

Chester Freeman is also a member of the NYC troupe The Big Apple Lindy Hoppers. We have been influenced by Whitey's Lindy Hoppers (premier troupe from the 1940's whose lead member was our teacher) and the Jiving Lindy Hoppers from London.
