Leadership Development , Peoples skills
Overview
Conflict- IQ™ is a leadership skill to possess in today’s workplace atmosphere. A leader’s ability to hold a safe
space for difficult conversations is essential to the health of an organization and its members. The lack of
conflict intelligence among leadership can be costly to both the financial bottom line and the culture of the
organization. A toxic work environment affects performance.

What to expect
Absolutely! Here's a polished and inviting 2,000-character description (just under the limit, approx. 1,980 characters with spaces) of **what the audience can expect** when you speak—tailored for senior residents in a personal, heart-centered setting. This version is bilingual-friendly, emotionally engaging, and reflective of your Conflict-IQ® approach.
---
When I speak, you can expect more than just a talk—you can expect a meaningful *conversation* rooted in connection, compassion, and community. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
Together, we’ll explore the beauty of the wisdom you’ve gathered through life’s joys and challenges. I’ll gently guide us through practical tools and heartfelt reflections that help you strengthen communication, heal old wounds, and deepen the relationships that matter most—whether with family, friends, or even within yourself.
Conflict doesn't disappear with age—it just changes form. Maybe it’s unspoken tension with a loved one, misunderstandings with neighbors, or unresolved feelings from the past. Using my Conflict-IQ® approach, I’ll share stories, insights, and strategies to help you navigate those moments with grace and clarity—without stress or drama.
You’ll laugh, you might shed a tear, and you’ll leave feeling lighter. Most of all, you’ll leave with renewed confidence in your voice, your worth, and your power to influence peace around you.
Expect:
* Real-life stories that are relatable and uplifting
* Simple, calming tools to use in everyday situations
* A few mindset shifts that can bring emotional relief
* A chance to reflect and connect with others in the room
* A bilingual-friendly tone that welcomes everyone
My style is interactive, respectful, and heart-led. I won’t lecture at you—I’ll speak with you. And my hope is that you walk away feeling more peaceful, more connected, and more proud of the incredible life you’ve lived.

Yvette Durazo is deeply influenced by the teachings of servant leadership, emotional intelligence, and restorative justice. Her greatest personal influence was her father—a humble, self-made entrepreneur whose values of dignity, respect, and compassion shaped her leadership philosophy. Professionally, she draws inspiration from thought leaders like Brené Brown for vulnerability in leadership, Daniel Goleman for emotional intelligence, and Desmond Tutu for the power of reconciliation. As a Latina and first-generation college graduate, her lived experiences also influence her unwavering commitment to equity, inclusion, and human-centered conflict resolution. These influences inspire her mission to transform conflict into connection through her Conflict-IQ® framework. She sees Abraham Lincoln as a role model in society.
