Emem Washington, J.D., LL.M, is a Leadership Consultant and Success Strategist. She is also an author, two-time TEDx speaker, and the founder of Lead, Speak & Impact, a personal and professional development firm.

With 20+ years experience as an attorney, Emem blends her education, expertise and experience in an actionable and transformational way, as she provides training, coaching and consulting services for individuals, teams and organizations.

A lifelong learner, Emem has the gift of being able to find lessons in everyday occurrences and experiences, as evidenced by her TEDx talk titled “Life Lessons My Iron Taught Me About Overcoming Adversity.” She has spoken to diverse audiences, including K-12, law students, attorneys, corporate leaders and teams, and has been featured in numerous media outlets. She has shared the stage with such notable names as Iyanla Vanzant, Jack Canfield and Lisa Nichols.

Overcoming a personal medical challenge several years ago, awakened in Emem the realization of the pivotal role self-leadership plays in attaining and maintaining success in all areas of life. This led her to develop programs which help individuals, teams and organizations in identifying their strengths, and using them effectively to improve personal, professional and organizational growth and profitability.
