January 21, 2020Lana is an incredible speaker, trainer, and emcee. I have experienced her in all three of those roles, and I can confidently say that she brings dynamic experiences, authenticity, and an enthusiasm that is unbridled. Lana's ability to connect with her audience keeps them drawn to her. I've seen her emcee a conference of 300+ teens and keep them enraptured with her bold and silly antics. I've sat in her trainings multiple times over the past 3 years, and every time, I come out a more knowledgeable and better human. Lana is very easy to work with because she's a "what you see is what you get" kind of woman. She always brings her best self and consistently operates in her strengths. I would highly recommend Lana and can't wait to work with her again in the future!

December 19, 2019Lana came to coach my teachers around Implicit Bias and was amazing. She has the wonderful ability to immediately put the room at ease, while also being direct and straightforward. Bias is an uncomfortable subject and I was worried that people would feel too awkward to really participate but Lana made it such a safe space that everyone was engaged. She makes everything a conversation and is very open minded. We will absolutely hire her again.

Prefer a wireless or handsfree mic as I move around a lot. It would be nice to be able to walk amongst the audience, if possible.
Engage audience in seated, standing or movement related activities, call and response and could even do some writing or quiet thinking.
Sometimes use audience cell phones to encourage participation in answering questions or sharing thoughts and opinions.

Lana Hailemariam is a Certified Leadership & Organizational Coach who engages audiences and provides memorable experiences. Dr. Donald Clifton once said, "There is no more effective way to empower people than to see each person in terms of his or her strengths.” If you can see the possibility in each person, then you can speak to it and teach to it.
The path Lana traveled hardly resembles a straight line. After graduating with a B.S. in International Business from University of Maryland, College Park, her adventures have included nine years in sales, 4 years of event management, six years in the multi-million dollar cheerleading industry, a few years in insurance, five years in ministry, four years in education and more than ten years in entrepreneurship. As an entrepreneur, Ms. Hailemariam owned a Gold’s Gym Franchise, an Indoor Football Team (Maryland Maniacs) as well as a personal training company called Star Fitness, Inc.
After all of that, Lana brought her East Coast flair to the mountains when she moved to Denver from The DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). There she discovered a love for working with non-profit organizations as well as her Fortune 1000 clients. Lana enjoys all of it and over the years has learned that the beauty of her dynamic approach to coaching is exactly that diversity of background and experience. Lana uses the wisdom she gained through life’s experiences and challenges to lay the foundation to authentic, meaningful conversations that positively impact people, teams and organizations.
