I truly enjoyed talking to the Zeta Phi Beta ladies at their AL Leadership Conference Amicae Mentoring program. Within our current political climate, where negative messages about women have been portrayed in our recent presidential campaign, I encouraged the women in our community to continue their mentoring efforts with increased self-awareness to be shining examples to the girls and women they mentor. Through "highly-effective mentoring", we as women can transform messages about women through new and upcoming generations of young men, women, boys and girls.

“Freed”om is what we experienced as a result of Kisha Freed’s impactful and heartfelt message at the 2016 Quality of Life Health Services, Inc. Women’s Lunch and Learn. Ms. Freed shared some key points to establishing and maintaining spiritual, emotional and mental health. Everyone can grow from her presentation as it was tailored to fit any gender, age group, race, profession or socioeconomic status. All of the participants were motivated and have expressed their desire to have her share at other venues, including local churches. Ms. Freed presented with poise and her inner and outer beauty was relished by all in attendance. Many were set free from the burden of unforgiveness as she had the participants to recite a compassion creed. Several participants purchased the book, From These Hands We Give: A Breast Cancer Anthology, which is published by Word-Xpress.com. The book is filled with many inspirational stories, poems and quotes to encourage those suffering from illnesses or hardships. We will forever cherish the impartation from Kisha Freed!

About
Kisha Freed is a freelance writer, speaker, poet, publisher and workshop facilitator. She was a 2014 TEDxHuntsville speaker, and received ecstatic reviews on her talk, "The Forgotten Superpower of Man". She is also the CEO of Word-Xpress, LLC, an advocate women's empowerment and women's health and well-being, community building, and youth mentorship. Through Word-Xpress, she has worked to bring artists together for projects that galvanize community causes--a recent one--the Word-Xpress Breast Cancer Community Support Campaign.
Kisha speaks on a variety of topics: women's health, the arts, community/social causes, relationships topics, and more. Her talks and poetry performances are available via YouTube @ Word-Xpress.
