Leonardo Capello started playing guitar in 1968, by 1970 he and childhood
friend Michael Lardie (Great White and Night Ranger) were playing at
Jr. high and High School dances.
In 1976 he left Sacramento to attend college in Alabama

In the early 80’s he hooked up with Ron Herron and played the foothills
and Gold country of Northern California, as well as Lake Tahoe,
Opening for bands like The Ventures and Shirelles.
Around 1983 Leonardo got his wings with overseas tours in Michael Bagley’s Rockett 88. The Guitar Duo was a hit Down Under through the late 80’s. They recorded in Allen Toussaint‘s “Sea Saint Studio’s” New Orleans La. Then released a couple of singles that did well in New Zealand and Australia.
They opened and headlined concerts in those countries, as well as a long
string of shows from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida
